The practice of abseiling in the Lapão Cave lasts between 4 and 5 hours, and begins with an approximately 1-hour walk from the town of Lençóis to the portal of the 50-meter-high Cave, where the adventurers descend to the base. The activity is beginner level and do not need experience. The guides are specialized in vertical activities and use approved safety equipment.
After the abseiling is possible to make the crossing of the cave, which takes around 1:30 hours and has some difficult paths. This crossing is not included in the values described below.
