This tour needs to be done during the rain season because the Brejao River is intermittent and gets dry if rains are not frequent. This turns it in an unexplored place, making it a perfect paradise close to Lençóis.
A 30 minutes car trip drive us to the beginning of the trail. We walk around one hour to get to the river with the same name and go up few minutes to get to this waterfall. This trail is not on turistic regular route, turning the way into a place with lots of bushes, forcing us to open the way with the machete. That´s the reason for the evaluation as a high level trek. We come back on the same way till the car, with the option to enjoy the Mucugezinho River and the Poço do Diabo Waterfall in our way back.
Curiosity: one of the largest carbonates found in Chapada Diamantina was in an old mine that we pass on the way to Brejao Waterfall, in a water source area.
