Muritiba Valley and Ribeirao do Meio
The Muritiba Valley and Ribeirao do Meio tour is divided in two steps:
Morning: bathing in the natural pools at Serrano and walk through Cachoeirinha and Primavera Waterfalll. We have great view of Lençóis and visit the Salão de Areia. We walk through the Lençóis river and affluents. We have many ups and downs along the way, especially near the Primavera Waterfall, the farthest atractive from Lençóis. This part of the tour can take up to 3 hours.
Lunch is not included in restaurant in Lençóis in the interval of the tours.
Afternoon: we walk for around one hour to the Ribeirao do Meio. The trail has steep parts, especially close to Ribeirao do Meio river. The waterfall is formed by a slide rock that forms a natural toboggan, where we can slide down from the rocks top to the pool. We return by the same way.
Curiosity: We pass by old diamond mine region in Lençóis, who was the richest in the past, when the gems were beeing explored. Many gems were sent from there straight to Europe to countries such as Holland, France and San Marino.
Obs.: All routes can be adapted or changed without warning because of weather conditions, which can affect acess roads, or difficult of somebody from the group.
