Miner´s Trek Chapada Diamantina

This was the first trekking developed by Extreme EcoAventure, linking old miner´s ways which were abandoned, passing through up to 7 waterfalls in 5 days. It was developed by the agency´s staff and they are the only ones who knows all the way because some links between trails were made by them. We can also do it in 3 or 4 days, adapting the trek according to the travalers avaliables dates.

All 3 options of the Miner´s Trek Chapada Diamantina are Detailed bellow:

3 days:

1st day: We leave Lençóis by a 4×4 car in a 8km off road. We go up on the Serra do Bode till the Córrego Piçarras and cross a small hill that separates this streamlet and the Rio Capivari. We drop our backpackers and walk to see the top of Capivari´s Waterfall. Than we go down to see it´s bottom. We swim, have lunch and go up again till our backpackers. Get them and walk more 40 minutes- 1 hour to the Cachoeira do Poção do Capivari, where we camp.
2nd day: We leave the backpackers and go up the Capivari´s River with cameras and supply for about 2 hours to reach the Cachoeira da Mixila, which was found by Marcos Cauduro (agency´s director) in 2004 and now is one of the most demanded of Chapada. We come back on the same way till the camping get the things on the camping and go to Cachoeira das Lajes where we sleep.
3rd Day: We stay a while on the waterfall and then leave to Cachoeira do Caldeirão. Stop to swim and enjoy the waterfall. After the lunch we walk down the Canoão Valley until the car, driving back to Lençóis.

4 days:

1st day: We leave Lençóis by a 4×4 car in a 8km off road. We go up on the Serra do Bode till the Córrego Piçarras and cross a small hill that separates this streamlet and the Rio Capivari. 4th day: We leave the camping to the Rio Roncador, where we´ll see the Samuel Waterfall. Than we must choose:

-go down to the waterfall´s pool and then walk down jumping the river´s rocks (more difficult) and from the mouth of the river get the Marimbus boat trip (regular route)to reach the Remanso village where the car wait for us.
-or we go to the Rio Garapa and go down on a trail till the bottom of the hills where the car will drive us back to Lençóis.

5 days:

4th day: We leave early and walk up the Caldeirão River until Entocada Waterfall jumping on rocks on the way. We´ll have time to swim and enjoy the place, having lunch before we walk back. After we reach the camp area again we take the backpackers and walk mor 2 hours until the Ancorado River, where we camp.

5th day: We leave the camping to the Rio Roncador, where we´ll see the Samuel Waterfall. Than we must choose:

Obs.: All tours can be changed without notice because of weather conditions or the groups rhythm. This trek must be booked with one month in advance.

Obs.: We always work to reach3 or more travaleras, but we garantee the tours acording to the values bellow in case we don´t have at least 3 travalers. Those values are valid for groups open to other travalers, if you´d like to do the tours privately let us know to inform the private tours prices.
