Blue Pool and Enchanted Pool
We start the Blue Pool and Enchanted Pool tour with a 2 hours-car- trip to Enchanted Pool, in Itaetê. It´s immense pool reflects a blue color during the time that the sunlight shines directly on the water, giving an amazing blue effect, being one of the main cards of the Chapada Diamantina. To reach the pool we must go down on ladder with some obstacles on the way. This way down is around 160 metres from the car parking. After this visit we drive for 1 hour until the Paraguassú River, where we park the car and cross the river. We must walk for 200 metres to reach the Blue Pool area, where we take a shower to clean the body from fats that can cause envioronemt impact. We must go down 60m inside the cave to see it´s pool, where we can swim for 15 minutes when there´s cue. When there´s no cue we can stay more than 15 minutes. There´s restaurant in both pools and we´ll have lunch wherever is more confortable.
Avoid hollydays to do this tour, we can have long cues!
Best time to visit: between April and Sptember, when the sunlight shines straight in the water.
Obs.: All routes can be adapted or changed without warning because of weather conditions, which can affect acess roads, or difficult of somebody from the group.
